Light Luce

After the devastating earthquake of 2016, the Umbria Region of Italy required a reposition of its communications. This catalog is that journey displaying the cultural riches of unknown areas of the territory. Each of the section index pages was designed focusing on communicating that storytelling. Although mainly a photography journey of light and unseen culture, the textual part of the catalog has been treated to balance the visual story.

Everything

These are books about traditional culture, it contains the twelve earthly branches of China and philosophy of thing grows and coexists. The books were bind in folding form of ancient Chinese books, used wood and special paper. It is easy to turn the pages, and gives people a sense of history and philosophy. Printing process includes laser engraving, laser printing, creasing and hot stamping. In layout design, the books used hand-drawn graphics, texture art and the hue of the high gray. Chinese culture and national traditions is the inspiration in design.

This catalogue presents artists and their artworks exhibited during the first edition of the Krakowski Salon Sztuki 2018 – Krakow Art Salon 2018 – in Cracow, Poland. Each spread has a slightly different layout adapted to the form and number of presented works. The inspiration of this Exhibition Catalogue is the way of artworks' presentation at the exhibition, diversity and minimalism.

Texts

"Texts From Graphics" is a collection of essays written by graphic design professors, in which they express their concerns and ideas about design. The concept of this publication summarizes the creative processes that are used in the field to solve communication problems. Based on these processes, an iconographic system was developed in order to simplify complex ideas. The icons, along with hierarchy, typography and composition, highlight the main messages and create an aesthetic that communicates all of the book's information in a simple and interesting way.

Didactics of Typography

"Didactics of Typography. Teaching the Letter / Teaching with the Letter" presents the methods and outcomes of teaching lettering and typography in selected polish art schools. The book covers various syllabuses, as well as presentations and discussions of teaching results based on specific student projects. The design process involved organising diverse, bilingual content and providing clear textual and visual narration of the publication. Orange accents in the design's monochromatic colour palette lead the reader's attention through the fascinating world of typography.

Infocastle

For the master's thesis, the castle Oberkapfenberg, in Austria, was reconstructed as a VR 3D Simulation, as it once was in its original state during the Renaissance. Do rebuild the castle as close as possible to its original appearance, every available information and photographs were collected and documented in that book. The thesis book was bound with materials, which are fitting to the concept of the thesis, such as the wood that originates from the same forest, where the castle stands and a hologram with the depiction of the 3D Render of the castle.
